Harni Pond, leading to the loss of five lives, including two teachers and three students. Seven students are currently missing.
The accident happened with four teachers and 20 students on board. Rescue operations, involving divers and firefighters, are ongoing. Vadodara Collector AB Gore and Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot have arrived at the scene. Initial findings suggest negligence on the part of Vadodara Municipal Corporation. Voting at the lake was managed by the Municipal Corporation. Sadly, the accident happened because there were more students and teachers on the boat than it could safely accommodate. There’s a worry that the number of casualties might go up.
In the boat capsizing incident, it’s been found that the students didn’t have life jackets, and there were no emergency plans on the boat. Vadodara Collector AB Gore mentioned a thorough investigation into the matter. Dr. Shilat Mistry, Chair of Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s Standing Committee, assured action against those responsible. Currently, the primary focus is on the rescue operation.
